@deeperflows @Photoshop I’ll use it lightly some but have a set of brushes and paint the whole image using 4-5 different ones blending the skin. Not great but doesn’t have the Oil paint filter look

but yea, it's super nice imo! very simple to use, it doesn't have a lot of brushes but tbh it has all the essentials, and its stabiliser is sooooo nice to use

Still have art block but I did manage to draw my boy with new brushes on clip studio!! I didn’t put a sketchbook there bc I got lazy :/

Stylized Eyes - Step by Step d( •̀◞ •́ )✧
1. Draw eyes
2. Fill BG, colour lines
3. Colour skin & sclera (whites of eyes)
4. Add saturated colour below iris
5. Highlights. Dark Med, Brighter Lg, & 2 Sm
6. Shadow over Iris
7. Render with smudge, blur & soft brushes.

It's only recently I've found brushes designed to imitate traditional media that felt natural to use. Modern brush-makers are powerful!

@DarkerJenny_ @PenScribbleDX Ehh, I think what OP was trying to say is not that NES isn't capable of good graphic but more of how most mockup brushes off the period devs didn't know how to optimize their graphic. Hence the SMB1 palette. SMB3 had pretty decent looking sprites too but was not the point.
