Depends on the style for me, 70s-80s American comics look fantastic to me, I prefer them over the default manga look but the more expressive manga like My Hero Academia and One Piece look better than anything to me, but then there’s Spawn art and The Mask, great stuff all around

V2 looks young and mature, yet you can still tell she's about 16/17. Append looks like an adult and while that does help reflect how she can now sing in different expressive styles, it also as if it's her in the future and who she wants to become.

As for, most expressive he's ever been to date. I guess that's debateable? Unleashed, mania's sprites, heck even boom rise of lyric are pretty expressive, and do a far better job showing clear expression without it looking unintentionally goofy or awkward.
