I'm re drawing my boy and he went from "dirty depressed bitch" to a freshly cut, rare water bathed and free from mental illness

Idk if it was big in the US but Gals! was the SHIT to me — great fashion styles and they tackle sexual abuse and mental illness and I was SHOOK. https://t.co/TFxjuzMwn3

I wish people knew that I have absolutely no idea how my body will be from day to day or hour by hour. It’s always a surprise which makes trying to manage the illness very difficult. There is absolutely no symptom stability with ME.

Collab w/ to remember the Deepwater Horizon disaster 10 yrs ago today, and the citizen science movement it galvanized. Louisiana's pierced by injection wells, eroded by pipeline canals, there's illness at every fenceline. Don't ever trust the architects of this reality

Link is an apprentice fishmonger on Greatfish Isle(the capital) in this AU, earning money to help treat the chronic illness his grandmother back home has developed, and to send his sister past basic schooling once she's old enough. He is, as is my brand, a trans boy.

This is Jill, she is Yuuko's mother. She is a brave saiyan and proud of her strength but she is also cruel, aloof, and arrogant woman, this was the main reason why Yuuko had traumas from the Super Saiyan, she cannot transform due to her illness and Jill wanted her to be able.

OMG i forgot to post photos with this, whoops!!
I love to draw animals and humans with an emphasis on neon and pastel "girly" palettes and kitschy craft elements. My work mostly concerns themes of queerness, transness, and mental illness

Something of a self-portrait. You can probably read a lot into this about my chronic illnesses and how they've changed my identity.

Trying to remember "gay/nonbinary awakening" characters is difficult because I overly tried to avoid obsessing over characters because I thought it made me "weird" (ha ha mental illness)
But I can think of some who stuck out to me

I included this old piece in the thread because I feel like this work was a natural progression from that kinda like how ‘Some Kind of Disaster’ felt like a natural progression to ‘Therapy’. This piece was made for a galley in 2017 for mental illness awareness.
