Today's is a 1880 brocaded silk damask two piece gown. The fabric is a bit "much"and makes it look like a bathroom, but shows the attention to fabric and trimmings that reminds me of the fashions of the late 1700s.

Today's is a 1909-1910 evening dress . It has a beaded Greek design beaded fringe along the edge of the white chiffon that covers a pink silk underdress! Absolutely adorable!

For today's Rev here's the most American thing I could think of- Washington's 1789 military uniform. Sadly none of his Rev War uniforms survive but this is an amazing piece as it materially represents GW's elegant modesty
