I see, the overlay thing I have never used the overlay layers before and it seems great to give color schemes to things (like those color filters in old games) I will try the line weight again, although I don't want to blame the brush I'm using in medibang, i'm just bad I guess

while editing Sekibanki video, I noticed: ZUN does a separate overlay for different expressions to a blank face. Back then, he'd use a different portrait with different expression.

So I checked UM and saw that he uses a chunk of face now. Great on him for optimizing size!

aw thanks! messed around for a minute in the skin editor and came up with this, the design utilizes specific overlay placement so I attached images of it with the overlay turned on & off so you can sorta see what I did to make it! hope this helps :D
