A short Review fot Soul Drifter is now on my Instagram story /highlights! All in all I enjoy the story :3
Woah, just need to shade 53 more layers so I could put the highlights and shit and I’m done! 👁👁 I’lol get back to it now.
Day 208: learning how to do wet highlights. Thankfully, I have one of mignon-sensei's tutorial on hand. But it still needs work.
I couldn’t resist the trend! Happy #2ndDimilixversary 🎉 Dimilix is easily my best fandom experience to date, and I’m constantly wowed by everyone’s creativity and works.
// I’ve attached a few of my highlights below.

also, i think i'm done with the daily ranboo skins, i had kinda told myself i'd do it for the whole beeduo meetup, but after a month i'm a little dry on ideas ^^;
so, here are some of my highlights from the month! thank you for being here! :D
@Dastanovich_ Nah the ninja war artwork was fucking cool it had some highlights
I agree with boruto tho I REALLY don't like that style for the series
can't decide if its because of the white highlights or the dark background, but the original finished work just doesn't look.... decent? the sketch's pretty tho
Day 207: Spent too much time working out the feet, guess i know what's next on the eternal grind.
I may be having too much fun with the blur tool.
Gonna add highlights and then maybe try to add water/sweat streaks. It won't be easy, but how else do you learn new things?
I love teal shadows so mUUUCH ITSSOPRETTY. I don't understand why it makes my brain so happy when people use those blue highlights in shadows.
@NyquilMance "full" render for me (at least for a character) ends up something like this:
-full color
- Shadows (optional to be soft or hard),
- highlights (on skin, hair, clothes, etc)
- effects here and there
Background work optional or could be considered separate depending on detail
As example, here I followed Muratas shading and did a soft natural light coming from above-front (ignoring the green effect I'll worry ab later). So I shaded mostly on the sides of her limbs, added blush color to the transition, then highlights around the middle part of her limbs
The saturated blush color is important in making skin look less plastic- it shows it's translucent with blood underneath. Blush should be in flushed areas where blood is more visible (cheeks, chest, ears, shoulder), as well as in between the shadows and highlights in direct light
my half of an art trade with @TheCoconutStar ! <3 This is the drawing where I figured out I liked doing an extra overlay layer on hair highlights hehe
