Powerpuff Girls Z was probably the one that did it the best, because it differenciated itself from the original enough that it felt like it's own thing, like Powerpuff Girls meets Sailor Moon

Yet it never got a US release... but it did give us this amazing art by Yoshinari You

I think what annoys me the most about the Powerpuff Girls reboot and "adult" remakes in general is the bad takes on the fits. There are great ways to interpret their outfits even as adults! Throw Bubbles in some y2k. Blossom in Dark Academia! BE CREATIVE!
