Spiky-eared Pichu was a special event Pokemon introduced in Gen 4. But originally, Game Freak was planning for a White Pichu to occupy this role... but sadly, White Pichu ended up getting scrapped.

To add more info Uraraka was originally supposed to have Mt Lady's powers before he scrapped that, Iida's original design looked more laid back & his hero costume looked more scarier, Bakugo was originally more friendlier & All Might was supposed to be older & have a lesser role

You all probably know that DMC started as a RE4 prototype. "Tony Redgrave" was the main character & meant to be Lord Spencer's son. That idea was later scrapped and we got DMC and RE4 as we know them today.

First revealed when Gold & Silver's 1997 demo leaked in 2018, Kurusu was originally meant as Gen 2's Water starter, but was later scrapped and replaced with Totodile.
