1947年にガールスカウト再興のための「準備委員会」が発足したことから。ガールスカウトはボーイスカウトを生んだロバート・パウエルの妹てあるアグネスが発足した「ガールガイド」がその始まりなんだとか。兄妹揃って少年少女の野外活動を促進したんだ！
