Back in june I did this little drawing as a concept of "hehe what if GX but with a more western/cartoony design---like if 4kids decided to do their own ygo anime" so...yeah! that was basically the idea. I didnt even change them that much so I dont really think it counts lol

I don't mind the designs personally, I feel Obata was a great choice given his skill as an artist though his style is more "anime" than Ayami Kojima's (2nd pic)

I'm just glad they went with Obata since his art still leans into the gothic style of the series.
