Where the story fails, is that Selina isn't being expected or asked to be a hero. It's literally about whether or not she can be a loyal romantic partner for Bruce Wayne/Batman. Taking away Selina's confidence, portraying her as a bad girlfriend, bad mom, is regressive & sexist.

Arkham Asylum is probably the only Batman story in like 80+ years that actually commits to that portrayal and it blows my mind we don't see that more. I want more spooky gothic horror Batman.

Both are excellent answers. And absolutely correct. I would also like to submit that the second GREATEST animated Batman show after the animated series is Batman Brave And The Bold. Because it does not get the attention it deserves. Plus BLUE BATMAN always = BEST BATMAN.
