I like using high resolutions and complex linework to hide how messy my work can be... But sometimes it's nice to look up close and see the brushstrokes.

Today it was truly enjoyable to teach Yr3. We sorted out warm and cool colours by playing with mixing and brushstrokes. Students had to play and discover what happens when you mix different colours together and experiment with quantities of water. Well done Yr3!

So here’s the final from that studio shot I posted last week! I think I’m starting to become a fan of the color pink!
I’m actually really pleased that the brushstrokes are visible in this piece, it’s different from my usual way of painting!💕

I don't think I posted this on Twitter yet! Here's a portrait study I did of earlier this year. It was a good exercise using brushstrokes in the directions of the planes of the face :)
