Fun fact, Athena is a child of Pheromosa and all “weird alien clones” mentioned in this universe have similar alien bug anatomy being made from Pheromosa’s eggs spliced with earth Pokémon DNA

If I had to judge these with the parameters of how well the characters are arranged, Attack of the Clones has the best composition seconded by Phantom Menace.

Revenge of the Sith's arrangment is just plain ugly.

a less common design pokémon trend i think about a lot is what i call "Alternate Pikachus"- designs that aren't pikaclones, but fill that same pikachu-esque "cutesy mammalian mascot" role for other types
