Every person has their own preferences, by using those parameters, try and create a distinctive original character with a given name. Of course you are not specifically targeted and forced to do it.

A thing about Battle League that doesn't get enough love (and collections as video compilations) is how good and distinct the in-field animations for every character are.

Toriyama did nothing wrong. It's funny how the "representation" crowd acts as though fiction must mirror real life but then praises character designs with little distinction between types of people that are ultimately less accurate to reality.

I really love Kanan’s art style a lot. The way she draws makes the characters come to life while still having a distinct early 2000s aesthetic, I enjoy it a lot

I'm curious: how have your physical shortcomings been turned into strengths in your art?
EG, my illustrations are painterly with distinct brush strokes, while my designs are simple but easy to view bc of my bad eyesight and chronic pain that makes intricate detailing difficult
One thing I really appreciate is how the artists take advantage of the color theming really makes each issue feel really distinct.
