We now know that one of George Lucas' ideas for the 3rd Star Wars Trilogy was to pair Maul with Darth Talon, a character from the comics.

@notzippy_ After Sam and Max being circulated aroundoffices of LucasArts, they were like "Hey, Steve, if these guys are so cool, why don't we make a game about them?" to which I can only assume Steve was like "Hell yea", which is where Sam and Max Hit the Road comes into the scene.
