Wanted to share two w.i.p images I started earlier on today. I think my outlines are much nicer than they were before and I kinda started to understand form perhaps a bit better?
First the blue catfish frog creature thing? and second a w.i.p of tahm kench, an amazing character!

I originally sketched this in August 2021 and wanted to come back for some practice with my tablet! There were originally outlines but I thought it looked better without after coloring! This was a ton of fun! :)
What I did was breakdown characters into basic shapes/outlines to get a sense of their structure and how artists make them. Then I tried to replicate it as best as I could myself. Here's the Sonic study
@GatoIshwary I actually spent 2 hrs trying to work it in before posting the polished rainbow+trans designs. Dark outlines muted the sense of illumination. I tried adding logs & a candle wick but it didn’t read well. Some designs lend themselves better to different versions of the pride flag.
Just finished drawing Steam City Lagnus! Man, seeing my favourite Puyo Puyo character get a Steampunk aesthetic made me so happy.
Also, I tried out something new with coloured outlines on background elements here, to make them pop out a bit more.

also i updated the palette ever so slightly - replaced the pink outlines with a darker blue

Hair render for Nyanners 3d fanart i made.
No curve used & thus low poly. For a proper cel-look character, this is the way to go. It gives you very good hair topology and clean outlines that require minimal adjustment but Ofc. takes more time.

First is my new artstyle. My old artstyle I could copy and paste the same outlines and create more content and some of my old stuff were traced (I confess). Now with my new artstyle, I want my artworks to be high quality which takes a long time to complete. (2/6)
Does Procreate have anything other than JUST the feather tool to quickly add solid thick outlines to art????
The feather tool adds a very thin airbrush-like gradient, but that doesn't help me when I'm doing stickers ;-;
