I don’t often post Cicely Mary Barker (1895-1973) pictures . My fault because I became sick of seeing them when I was a bookseller. Time to forget that nonsense. Beautiful Iris.

The sister of Cicely Mary Barker ran a kindergarten and the little children became Cicely's much loved models. She painted the plants from life and if she couldn't find the specimen needed, it was often provided by Kew Gardens staff.
