I've gotten a decent amount of work done on his face, still far from finished though! after his head, the hard part will be done at least! I went through several different color schemes for his skin, in the end I went with a very desaturated skin color to compliment his hair.

that so many newer artists (and lets face it, the more ignorant artists too) tend to have as a result should almost never be present. I don’t draw people often, but even with my desaturated style, skin tones are incredibly important when it comes to lighting and composition.

i kinda just follow the shape of how i Lined the hair and like... make messy gradient-ed brush strokes from a light pinkish red to a darker desaturated purple ??? i kinda just go wild with it and smudge/blur/erase where necessary agsghsghs
