I appreciate how faithful this shot is to the comic it is adapted from, but I think that's part of why it looks so fake.

It doesn't resemble news footage. The lighting is too neutral, and there's not an indication that any sort of battle was fought (like smoke or blood).

In Skyrim, there are two sets of colors for sunlight.

One is for the light itself, it has more normal colors like white for daytime. The other set is for the fx, it is more exaggerated. For daytime it is blue.

The goal was to make things feel more magical without looking fake.
