Applin is one of the best thought out designs in the series.

You look at it and it’s like “an apple, that’s lazy”

But actually GameFreak made a 400 IQ play. They took the worm in the apple trope and made it a wyrm in an apple. Which is why it’s dragon. That is peak world play.
