While I appreciate game companies optimizing their games with patches, I can’t respect them for doing it so late. It’s cool that some “demanding” games are much more playable for hardwares like AMD GPUs now, but the stigma already stuck by from old benchmarks.

honestly being real I prefer all of the designs from the Legends universe, and I like how these games look visually. definitely the best example of taking advantage of their hardware at the time. would love to see these games with modern technology.

THE WORLD ENDS WITH YOU (2007): this game's been on my radar for YEARS and when i couldn't play final remix due to hardware issues, i went back with the original release and i'm glad i did. the pace suffers in some areas but overall, jesus what a FANTASTIC game. so glad i played.

Completely redone from the ground up, but this requires doing a CHR switch mid frame. I'll see if I can get the code to work on real hardware. Also, borrowed the dither idea from the NES game.

Some personality-types in the retro-gaming community (heck, online in general), have a tendency to say "I do it this way. This is the way. All other ways are s**t!" But heck, whatever way you choose to enjoy it: real hardware, CRT, LCD, FPGA, software emulator, it's all good.

I don't think I've ever seen the DOS version before.
I went the Amiga route back then, and loved the Amiga conversion, though it was *real* picky about what hardware it would work on. 🤔

I love the classic designs/style too but basically every demon in SMTV just looks immaculate, the models capture the designs perfectly, if it was on better hardware it'd probably look better than Nocturne
