#mabsdrawlloweenclub day 21: Yokai ☂
This has been one of the things I look forward to every year! I always wanted to make an illustration based on the kasa-obake (possessed umbrella) cos I really love the story behind it. ✨

@ChronoPinoyX @BannedDino @monsterhunter The false eye in the middle definitely gives the Kasa-obake vibes with these monsters being based off Yokai.
Yokaitober Day 18: Chouchin-obake
A paper lantern yokai. They are like other tsukumogami in that they mostly surprise people rather than harm them. In fact, they are very similar to kasa-obake.

Day 8: Kasa-Obake ✨
Kasumi was once an old umbrella who obtained a yokai form after years of sitting torn and broken apart. She now lives a renewed life as a tsukumogami and spends her time tending to her local gardens.

Aknosom, the Parasol Bird Wyvern! I absolutely love everything about Aknosom's design. It's also based off of one of my favorite yokai, the kasa-obake! #MonsterHunter #MHRise
Il semble inspiré de trois éléments: les Kasa-obake (litt. parapluie fantôme) encore une fois issus du folklore japonais, mais aussi des éventails de guerre et de certains oiseaux échassiers du Japon.
"When this huge Bird Wyvern stands on one leg, its peculiar collar gives it the appearance of a monstrous parasol. It is fiercely territorial, and whenever it finds intruders, it spreads its wings and unfolds the eye-like crest on its head to terrifying effect."
So a Kasa-obake https://t.co/etvUsus93S
