red was first- i've played every game but gold was where i got hooked, heartgold was the most consistently good with the most content. uhhhh LAWNMOWER, and Zinnia is really good but if only playable characters count then Hilda.

13. Favorite Rival : Silver! ❤️ He's such a douchebag at the beginning of Heartgold but he became such a softie at the end, and to me, he has one of the best character development in the series! I'm such a weak for bad guys becoming good guys, I know 😔

Silver has an awesome character arc, but Barry always felt better to beat since I distinctly remember him ruining my life multiple times during my first ever playthrough of Diamond. Fun fact: up until Heartgold/Soulsilver, Barry was THE strongest trainer in the games!
