His tail gets pretty thick in the middle and thins out towards the ends.

Try drawing the shape first, lightly, and then you can add the fur. That makes it easier to get the shape of his tail right. He also has less fur sticking out than a typical fox tail. Usually 2 or 3 spots.

There’s a version of Eligon without clothes so it will be easier to figure out how her fur would look like with clothes on. It will also make my life significantly easier.
