For some there'd be a bit of punching up and remodelling of the tonal values going from traditional scan to sell light source. A lot of this was non destructive and would be incorporated into comp as adjustment layers with effects on them, making it shinier.

I'm not actually programming anything. I use a tool called Real Time Corrupter that inserts junk values into the RAM of an emulator. I do a lot of manual tinkering with a Hex editor as well. In this screenshot I found where the pause text was stored and changed it a bit!

Actually some more ; like all of these have a different process but like...its the same but different? Because the singular style holding it together is a focus on line + colour used to differentiate values and less for form if that makes sense?

<Art tip>
When you start a painting, limiting the values(2-3 shades), use big shapes, to make everything under control.
remember it's always easier to go messy from something clean than the other way around.
