Oekaki boards were the shit back in the early 2000's. I was drawing with a mouse back then. At the end of 2003 is when I got my first drawing tablet. I only improved from there. I also did traditional art alongside digital. I still do, actually.

the sheer disappointment that i felt watching the 2003 season 1 and it's 2008 second season can't be described.
The moody style fitted the tone of the show cause it was a bleak show and then they turned it so colorful losing that special touch
