[Page 46] Happy new year!

This was a particularly rough page, something about it just wasn't flowing. I was also semi worried as I feel the page is necessary to set up the atmosphere but even so it’s not something I’m used to doing!

Playing Hell Let Loose really making me realize just how important stuff like good music and good voice acting really does make or break the atmosphere for a game. Hell let loose plays better than Red Orchestra 2 in almost every way, but has nowhere near the level of flavor.

Looking back, my favourite pieces this year were ones where I managed to create more atmosphere (also finally drawing KF after being into it for 4 years)

Creepy dolls have always been part of the sinister atmosphere of Umbrella facilities overtaken by a virus nightmare, making Resident Evil sometimes feel like a ghost story... well it was inspired by Sweet Home!

Sakusa crying on his first day at the kindergarten because he's not used to the atmosphere and Atsumu impulsively hugging the new kid whose name he doesn't even know, because that's what he usually does to calm Osamu down.
