While both points are relevant, I'll say this: Being conscious of how heroism is portrayed is important. Otherwise you end up with hyperviolent gore porn like Invincible being animated in an identical style to the DC animated movies.

As with all things Norse Marvel's Dark Elves are a little different. Portrayed more as insane and unpredictable than just straight up dark, Malekith is like a wilder Loki. The MCU sucks the life out of the Dark Elves and Malekith entirely.
