Even the still compressed images completely sell me on it! They have so much life, the little details that manage to stick out on 256 x 192-pixel screens astound me. None of it looks stock if that makes sense. It feels like everyone had fun making it a passion project.

Okay, I can't hold back. I gotta gush about PMD EOS art. Seeing it not compressed onto a DS screen or emulator really hit home how hard Spike Chunsoft went into this series. Just the color selection sells how this game has a different vibe from the rest of the mainline series.
