While my grandma settled in Kuwait, her brother moved to Abadan and her sister Makiya moved to Bahrain. My mom didn't grow up seeing her as the family lost touch. I hope the Bahraini's greeted her with music or love when she settled there. Ayam in 1930's Arab Gulf.

I've always had a 'soft spot' for tri-motor aircraft. This handsome Dewoitine D.338 was a 1930's French airliner that could seat 22 passengers...or 12 passengers in 'Luxury' mode! With a reputation for reliability, they continued in airline service after WW 2.
