I just learned that Takahashi Kazuki the creator of #Yugioh has passed away yesterday... He was one of the biggest influences on my art and was truly an inspiration to a lot of young artists. I will forever love his art and creations. The man is a legend.
Kazuki Takahashi loved games, horror movies, extravagant designs, and had a deep fascination with Egypt; the fact that he combined such various worldwide influences into an iconic and timeless piece of urban fantasy shonen manga speaks more to his ability than I ever could.
I can't emphasise enough how much Kazuki Takahashi inspired me to draw, since 18 years ago when I could barely and now I'm working as a illustrator.
His art, lighting, interesting designs, all sorts of influences, unique take on art is something I always and still learnt from.
