In Smash 4, Shulks alt costumes all had his signature blond hair. In though, his hair color changes depending on the costume. I kinda wish the Monado would change colors too tbh.

Dunban-Shulk sometimes borrows the Mii Swordfighter's Dunban's sword (from the costume) to spar with since he lost his Monado, but he still needs to borrow another Shulk's if he wants to fight in a match since of course, he can't change his moveset.

This is official art found on page 210 of the Monado Archives Artbook. What's interesting is that neither of these swimsuits are (to my knowledge) available in game. Even removing all armor on both characters yields different results.
