Right down to the wire... finished my last 2K moments ago! A total of 50K in one month. A new novel written. It needs a lot of editing, but I manage to surprise myself with the killer's identity - need a little more foreshadowing.

Day 28: Today’s pastel monster drawing is a barlang. Solitary cave dwellers, these aren’t likely to bother you unless you annoy them or invade their space. They are technically omnivorous but tend to eat mostly vegetarian—mosses, lichens, and low light plants

I do a very lite Huevember during NaNoWriMo because it helps me decompress after writing and come down gradually after the intense drawing month that is Inktober. Just smol doodles for fun. No coded messages even, which is unlike me lol

Bueno. ¡BUENO!

ADIVINAD QUÉ.

¡NaNoWriMo terminado! Aunque aún queda lo suyo para tener acabado ¡esto merece celebración! Así que he rehecho el retrato de Milena, su protagonista. ¡Quienes escribáis dad caña!

The box was received safely, which means I can finally post this drawing I made for the care package exchange! It's the protagonist for Nano user Pip Black's novel, a steampunk-esque magical murder mystery called A Magic So Great! He's NEAAAT.

Day 22 Update: wrote 2000 words today. Set up has started for the climax and end of the story. Currently at 37,065 words! Less than 13k to go. Probably going to write an additional 10k. So excited!

Day 20: this monster is a pancel. About the size of a train car, this garg is a vegetarian. A heavily armored vegetarian lol. They tend to be a bit irritable, so if you interrupt them, they will do everything within their power to trample you. Just cuz they’re annoyed.

That moment when you realize you have overshot the low-end of the required word count for a short story submission. I need to wrap this up and get a few beta reads on this.

Another doodle of Kai from my nanowip experiencing snow for the first time. She was really excited about it.

I didn’t manage a comic this week, I’ve been writing a lot of NaNoWriMo – but I did draw character art for my new DnD character, a pyrophobic gnome wizard called Neff.

Here she is in her default emotional state of nervous concern.

Day 16: this garg is an orzi! Long-nosed, sharp teeth, three-eyed and mostly useless. They like to hid in damp, shady, missy places. They can’t do much damage, but it’ll hurt if they get those teeth around your ankle.

Finally drew something digitally! It has been too long.

PSA: it is a perfectly valid choice to sit on the floor and drink wine from a sippy cup. Thank you.

So nanowrimo is still just [nervous laughter], BUT I committed to turning a moment from my campaign into a comic in order to push myself and I'm really pleased with how the first two pages have turned out 😄

A friend doing was the inspiration for to get writing. & now, with a literary agent () & many published books to his name he's a successful author. But it's encouraging to hear that "tenacity is just as important as talent" https://t.co/hSIBoELkWV
