If you look at official illustrations, the shade changes a lot - sometimes it's really ashy, sometimes it's orangey, sometimes it's pinkish... I don't think he colours it, I think Akutami just likes playing around with the design haha.

I noticed that in black clover, Finral's portals change color. Why is that? Sometimes they're grey, sometimes they're green. And in the manga it's been consistently a pinkish purple color that kind of matches his eyes. Any thoughts on that?
