Doll on the other hand just sort of kicked me in the head and was perfect on arrival. I made the monochrome version and sat on it overnight before settling on what became their summer colours. Honestly I love both Doll and Serendipity's designs now.

I really finally got Serendipity's look once I really had a deeper understanding of them as this sort of wry, cheeky, sardonic, wistful character. It's funny--sometimes you hit a design right away, and other times, it does take awhile to piece together who the character is.

Honestly it is fun to look at old designs--Serendipity I debated for awhile between them being unicorn-blessed or being an Eladrin. Or like a pegasus-blessed sort of nerd with big wings. And originally wanted to give pink hair.

Man, I made this design back in the summer of 2019, and I ended up not vibing with the character, but a lot of their aesthetics ended up in Phantasmagoria and Serendipity. I still really dig this initial design.
