A piece by famous war painter Ignatz Victor, who fought alongside the King of Reunification. Recently discovered preliminary sketches depict the soldier with a smile, although all the faces are smudged.

Thanks! I play with a lot of chalky texture and 'realistic' brushes. There are lots of great free ones around- as an example I painted a quick lil Ragdoll using one of Aaron Griffin's free brushes. I also recommend loading them as mixer brushes to get that nice smudge effect 😊👍
