I love all these threads showcasing good examples of black characters in anime. But I hate how a lot of these are forgetting my boy Atem from Yu-Gi-Oh.
Put some respect on the Pharaoh's name. And an anime that openly had black characters that didn't look like stereotypes.

What else... Oh right, the second OC I made during the break!
Her name is Cherry Pop and she's a Clown Drimare
Except she's mad about clown stereotypes and expectations so she decided to become a metal singer instead
Not all clowns like jokes

Cards could be sent to liars and cheats and flirts and alcoholics, while some cards mocked specific professions. Their grotesque drawings caricatured common stereotypes and insulted a recipient’s physical attributes, lack of a marriage partner or character traits.

Don't judge a book by its cover, or a unicorn by out-dated stereotypes.

Wow! reinforcing the outdated and stupid stereotypes that a man showing tears or emotions is a bad thing? I didn't think Avengers EtP could get worse but yeah on top of the "Namor enjoys murdering sea creatures" b.s. it did. 🙃🙃🙃

Teams like the that use Native mascots, encourage fans to mock Native people, defame Indigenous cultures, & perpetuate negative stereotypes.

The & must ban headdresses, redface, the tomahawk chop, and the drum at Super Bowl LV.

I have a problem. I need more ship dynamic stuff in my life.

ON THAT NOTE, I love this ship but I wish it wasn't played up as a joke so often or had a bunch of stereotypes slapped onto it, pls and thanks.

In a lot of their comics they reduce gay men into homophobic stereotypes. They love antagonizing them too for some reason too as if being gay and being trans is a pissing contest even tho they're not mutually exclusive. Here, I picked some of the comics where this appears for you

i have several questions for fanfic writers out there:
1. What is a trope? I googled it and i still don't understand what does it mean.
2. Does fanfictions without tropes exist? Or it HAD to use them?
3. Are tropes similar to stereotypes?

Thanks!
