@KaiserNeko Comparing vulpix helps illustrate my point a lot. They have smoothed over a lot of its form, given it a larger head and eyes, and removed a lot of its animalistic nature.
This is way further exaggerated in a Pokémon like Fennekin. (No toes, big head. Face is a ball and cone)
