In 1934 he painted 1919. Alarm. Still Life (1934) & The Artist’s Daughters holding a Globe (1936). The latter show sthe nearest point of contact between the US & the USSR. As war brewed there was talk of alliances.

Mikhail Victor was an honorable Red Army captain. After the USSR fell he joined the independence cause of his wife's ethnic minority & enacted many terrorist acts as a guerilla leader. He was sentenced to death & enlisted in the UBCS in return for mercy for his comrades.
