Much is made of Tolkien's sparse use of female characters in LOTR, but I believe this was a kindness of sorts. Tolkien was inspired by the Saga of the Volsungs, which has more female characters than LOTR, but he was careful in how he used its feminine archetypes in his own work..

@arboreaIsnakes @yohanamarubys oh Perfect, then you might like this guy, tadaomi, who happens to be reiji's bandmate. he's the "doesn't understand emotions" archetype and almost broke a guy's arm to """learn more""" about them. he's not malicious tho, just curious... not that that helps his future court case

@AGramuglia Fun Fact: Dick Dastardly, Bluto, Cruella de Vil & her goons Horace and Jasper inspired the villain archetypes in various Japanese media. It's also why you see so many Team Rocket-like teams in Japanese media, all the way back in the 70s, starting with Time Bokan.

I don’t really see a @RENGA_inc style art meta coming any time soon. Why? The art can’t be imitated. MAYBE a collection could try to mimic ONE of the archetypes, but there’s 11 OF THEM. All with their own grails and trait subtleties. It’s basically 11 sets in one.
