You can't really separate the parts, they're one package. It's a series in movie format. This drew on the classic manga to deliver the best update to the old 1990s show to date. The coming-of-age existential crisis arcs are / were solid. It was nice.

2018, Planet With. It's still hard for me to believe this series was only 12 episodes, it does more with that limited running time and fits in more emotional and interesting character and story arcs than most series thrice it's length. Just an amazing, if weird, series.
