System 3
Founded in 1982, System 3 didn’t have a C64 hit until International Karate in 86. IK was followed by a run of superb games including Bangkok Nights, IK+, The Last Ninja, Last Ninja 2/3, Tusker, Myth, Vendetta & Turbo Charge. Blimey!

Accolade
Polish, superb graphics, clever touches & fab gameplay are Accolade's hallmarks. Hardball, Killed Until Dead, Law of the West, Apollo 18, PSI-5, Power at Sea, Grand Prix Circuit, The Train. Simply one of the best publishers of the era.
@Lord_Arse I really like Spindizzy.
It's like the arcades have Marble Madness..
But for the C64 we've got Spindizzy, and Spindizzy is better than Marble Madness. Different, but definitely better. 😎
My Fave C64 Software Houses No.14
First Star
First Star wasn’t prolific, but they released some of my favourite C64 games. The Spy Vs Spy games are superb (especially 1 & 2) but their crowning glory is the brilliant Boulder Dash – one of the greatest games of the 8-bit era.
@dantemendes I remember the jet-plane from the C64 version too. 😁
(Such a teeny sprite on that version. But that's fair enough, given that just about no-one will see it.)

Elite
Elite released a fair bit of mediocre software, but when they hit the sweet spot, they certainly delivered. Buggy Boy, Ghosts n Goblins (both ZZAP! Gold Medals) & Ikari Warriors are excellent & Commando, Batty & Airwolf are good fun too.
My Fave C64 Software Houses No.18
Odin
Odin produced some of the best arcade adventures of the 1980s. Robin of the Wood, Nodes of Yesod, Mission AD, Heartland & Arc of Yesod, were all superbly polished, graphically and sonically brilliant and extremely playable top-notch games.

Cosmi
Cosmi set the standard in the C64’s early years with superb games that stood head & shoulders above the crowd. Aztec Challenge & Forbidden Forest were astonishing in 1983 & 85's Super Huey & Beyond the Forbidden Forrest are top games too.
