we did it, we beat alundra. really good game, totally lived up to "one of the darkest storylines of any [RPG] in existence." I highly recommend it but only on an emulator and with a guide because is it BRUTAL and obtuse sometimes. I would never want to play it blind on a console

Hey, I really recommend you to play on PC via PS3 Emulator!!

Some of the colors keep getting washed out when you keep running on the PS3 (&even on the PS4 version), it kinda gives you some headaches but the PC version completely fix that for you!!

I saw a comparison picture of different color correction methods for GBC games used by emulators in the Bottle Grotto dungeon, but I noticed that the gbc-color shader wasn't included.
1st: Raw color values
2nd: gbc-color, brighten_screen = 0

Even a comparison in M88 between scanlines-on and no-scanlines-on does the trick. On an RBG monitor, PC-88 graphics would have blended somewhat, but not to the degree of filters used in some emulators. Note the dirt texture subtly changing between modes.
