While I like stuff that's stupid, crude and immature the other half of me Loves wholesomeness. This is a cute little cooking/foraging game I've been sketching up. You play as the blue character Ava.

Thought I'd post one of my favourites for -that purple colour! AND you can eat it, it's the Wood Blewit. (Don't, however, eat the v similar and toxic Bruising Webcap. Be careful out there, foraging warriors.)

For some reason this image came into my thoughts tonight a pair of foraging curlews & a redshank, on a winter windswept Northumbrian beach, watercolour. Have a great weekend all 👍

I’ll ALSO also have my original inktober sketches with me at - if I sell a few I’ll have enough money to make them into a little book so consider picking one up if you’d like to see a semi-informative zine about foraging creatures ❤️

OC-tober Day 29 - In ten years:

"In ten years... I hope I'm no longer cursed and I have a shorter hair length, but that's a given. Maybe I'll finally study plant magic so I can spend more time gardening and less time foraging."

- ash! You can pickle the keys, if that’s your thing. PS. it’s a day late because I had a migraine yesterday 🌩

Behold, the whistling unicorn! A tiny, weird unicorn that uses its horn as a snorkel while foraging for pond weed. It can also make a range of whistling sounds through the horn, hence the name. I love making sillier creatures like this.

- honeysuckle. Although most species are toxic there are a couple of edible types which can be used to make tea or cordial!

0 5

- sea beet! Also called wild spinach, it’s a coastal sea vegetable related to beetroot and chard.

- brambles! Hedgerow berries that taste amazing until you find one with a bit of... something else... inside it. Turn them into jam instead so you won’t notice!
