Why change the card design (again)? We had multiple goals:

1. To include the type of the monster (e.g. dragon, insect)
2. To separate tribute relevant stats from HP stat
3. To include a card rarity indicator
4. To modernize the design & match it with our art style.

I ran into that problem when starting my blog, and literally starting painting my own illustrations to solve the problem. I can vary skin tone and use symbolic representation to remove class and race indicators.
