@Anberal_Linone @BasedLIDA From what i saw from his posts the approach is pretty simple: apply solid colors that fits the scene/characters, keeping these colors close to the lineart outlines. You can see this as something close to oldschool comics coloring approach but also reminds Miura's watercolors

People ask me which direction I place my hatching lines. And what I do is, I always start from an edge and hath towards the lightest part of the anatomical subshape. So towards the center light/highlights. So you always go from edge to edge. Faces have a lot of diffent edges

@Landryn0 I get the confusion, so, showing from older examples, where I kind of went a bit more artistic freedom with direction of the hair; to newer pieces where I'm working on following the direction/gravity of it a bit more! To clarify, I usually do hair on the same layer as my lines.

I spent days on these instead of working on deadlines. And yes, I fully rendered the hair on all three after I told myself I wouldn't. Final Fantasy XIV just has that type of hold on my life
