These are all late 2019 to early 2022. I think overall my anatomy, lining and shading improved, and my style became more my own :)

I always draw by hand and don't use tricks like outlining photos, even if they are my own photos. I don't use photo textures or shape brushes. It's not bad or good, I just like to create my paintings this way.

RENGA Fun Fact: The inside lining for all body types were drawn, not only to add weight but because each piece was designed to have an extra layer or two, which would of represented the soul/spirit of each individual character. Here’s a couple of examples of the unseen…

@PLAYER3345 Sometimes I can get away with not lining scales. (like These draggos) but other times, like with Rhett the copper dragonborn, I feel like his texture especially with his tail just wouldn't translate well with the non lined design. I swore lots while doing it 😂

Just, i take less time in the process (lining, colo, shading etc) but the result is pretty good in my point of view. 🤔

@sunifinch It's called Color Lining
Legit make the lines you want and on a separate masking layer, you can apply any colors or gradients you want; then you can change the opacity on either layer for more~
I personally did it a lot to make the overall colors stand out more; shades or not 😅
