Metroid Dread then… overall it was pretty good. I grew to love the EMMI sections, the bosses are brilliant and the core gameplay loop will always be compelling fun. But it felt quite dated and safe. It was very predictable and looked quite bland. It’s a 7/10 for me.

keeping this album a secret has been hard. I've listened to EFYL at least once a week (if not more) since Kelbin sent it in August - I've cried during its interludes and synth sections. Sky Drive might be the most potent. Everything abt EFYL takes its time, like the universe.

😂 In 280 characters or less. Imagine a knife where the blade is made of separate sections. After stabbing squeezing the handle causes the sections of the blade to spring open like a flower. The faster you squeeze & release the handle the faster the sections spin, like a fan.

Looking at unused models in the source code. Instead of comments, IF statements are used to make the compiler skip sections entirely when building the ROM. Spent some time pulling these models out and converting them by hand. I recognize several from the early prototype.
