@HChewtoys For Kuiper, I did a lot of doodling and sketching before I nailed down their design. For the colors, I used a brown close to my skin tone to represent me being black, and purples because that’s my favorite color. They have top surgery scars to represent me being transmasc!
Scia didn't have a first name back in the day (or a tail ghjbkl) but I do kind of wish I remembered the combo of layers I used to get that pinkish tone.

I can see that for some people, things like the tone for Batman overall is something essential for the character at it's core, in order for it to feel like him and work in the original ideals of the series, but i think it's neat when they make something more soft and wholesome.
