can't help but feel that Gilkuza and Myo Galuna from the mh orage manga directly inspired the magalas, which wouldn't be surprising given that the manga author Mashima Hiro was involved with mh4.

Crimson Glow Valstrax, my actual favorite monster. Design, theme, fight, and gear all come together to make my personal favorite mh experience.

I finished reading Niki Smith's "The Golden Hour." It is about an elementary school kid, his struggles with PTSD, and how he develops his friendships. It is set not too far from me and is up there with Lucy Sullivan's Barking for when it comes to MH representation. Read it!
